As I type we have over 630 people signed up for the Virtual March- and more are coming in! This is so exciting for us. With each new sign up, we get to add one more voice to our ever growing unified message.
Just to update you on what’s been going on around the office, Kelly Orner (Grassroots Advocacy Coordinator) and Bonnie Adams (Executive Director) traveled to the upstate this week and met with members of the Spartanburg community, as well as people from Wofford, Converse and USC Upstate. Kelly told me “we love going to Spartanburg. There’s such a great vibe here, and the community just comes out with tons of support for Tell Them and the Virtual March. Our advocates are “buzzing” around town spreading the word.”
The 2010 legislative session opened this week, so the office is a “buzz” with activity. We’ve been watching the sessions on the live feed, and getting updates on the upcoming calendar. Nothing to report yet, but we’re watching closely.
The march is moving right along. We’re getting a lot of questions from people about possibly physically marching to the statehouse on March 24th. Any thoughts? I’d love to hear from more people about any interest in physically showing that we care about responsible reproductive health policies. Comment below of email me: info@tellthemsc.org.
That’s all for now. Keep forwarding the Virtual March to your family, friends and coworkers. Let’s hope to hit (at least) 750 by next Friday!
