Healthcare.gov

Today, the Department of Health and Human Services announced a new website, Healthcare.gov, which provides individuals and consumers with more control and information about the health care industry.
The site allows individuals to see the insurance plans currently available to them based on their personal status and location. The site can be utilized by individuals and small businesses, and Medicaid programs. Simply enter your zip code and answer a few questions and your options will appear before you.

The site is still missing two components. 1) There is no pricing information. This feature will be added in a few months. 2) The site doesn’t allow consumers to purchase a health care option from Healthcare.gov. Instead, it gives you impartial information about which service is best for you, and then you contact the insurance provider directly.
Since we’re an action-based website, here’s your chance to take action. Visit this website. Learn about your options and what’s available to you. Become an informed consumer.
